Testing:

For this project there are multiple testing criteria that the solutions must meet or exceed. For solution to be a viable option as a tank it must answer “yes” to all of the following questions:
Testing Tank
  • Can it retain water?
  • Is it large enough to house all of the aquatic challenges?
  • Is it deep enough to allow Vex kits to properly navigate it?
  • Is it wide enough to allow the Vex kits to negotiate turns?
  • Is there efficient use of space?

Testing Aquatic Challenges
  • Can the task be completed?
  • Are the challenges durable enough to be completed multiple times?
  • Is there enough space for the challenge to be completed?
  • Is there enough space between challenges?

Testing VEX Kit (terrestrial)
  • Does the kit have proper propulsion?
  • Can the kit navigate the sand environment?
  • Can the kit be operated remotely?
  • Can the kit carry multiple items at a time?
  • Can the kit navigate across dunes without damaging them?

Testing VEX Kit (aquatic)
  • Can it perform in the presence of water?
  • Does it have the proper propulsion?
  • Can the kit navigate through the tank?
  • Can it be operated remotely?
  • Can the kit complete the challenges in the tank?

If and only if the solution meets all of the criteria presented above, can the solution be considered plausible, and the solution that has done this the most efficiently and easily will be chosen as the final solution.
